Student Athletic Trainer Requirements

1. Currently taken, or have taken PPE 3 or PPE 101, or equivalent.

2. Currently seeking a career in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or related field.

3. Interview with Athletic Trainer.

4. Submit Resume.

5. Commitment to minimum of five volunteer hours per week in the Athletic Training Room between Noon and 6:00 pm. Must be able to cover home games and/or travel with student athlete intercollegiate teams.

6. Progress in skills each semester with completion of established competencies.

7. Participate in Student Athletic Trainer workshops and activities.

8. Current CPR and First Aid certification.

9. Join National Athletic Trainers Association as a Student Athletic Trainer recommended.

10. Display a genuine interest to learn and continue to grow and excel in the field of Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or related field.
